19th January 2009 - 4th October 2009 Assigned to Staffordshire County Council working to repair and improve a failing software systems. The systems were ITBM Touchpaper and LANDesk Management Suite. The ITBM system was used for logging support activities, but is capable of so much more, i.e. Asset monitoring, configuration management and impact analysis. The LANDesk suite was used for remote desktop activities and imaging, but again could be used for so much more, i.e. Asset tracking, license monitoring and compliance and when used together with ITBM was able to give a real time impact analysis. I successfully integrated the two systems, trained staff and documented the integration procedure allowing for on going maintenance. There was an immediate benefit to the help desk whereby they could remote desktop from the call logging system. The database that ITBM and LANDesk were using was at fault for several reasons. These included client version software, server performance, database corruption and various client inventory scan problems. I was able to build and configure a test system whereby I could test different scenarios, train staff and tailor the systems for the environment. 7th July 2008 - 2nd October 2008 Assigned to South Shropshire Housing Association a division of Shropshire Housing Group LTD performing day to day support tasks from simple account lockouts to creating backup visual basic job schedules in SQL Enterprise manager.
